Our verdict

KAlgebra is especially useful when you want to see what a formula does. By using values and graphs side by side, you can explore changes and control your own expectations. This fits well with self-exercising or explanation during a lesson.

Use the result as a reason to continue reasoning. A correct input and an appropriate range are required to read a graph correctly. Start with a function you already know and then change one part at a time. So you learn to understand both the software and the mathematical relationship. For simple sums only a simple calculator is sufficient.
