You can use calculated database fields and get better recovery of unsaved documents.

  • Formula fields support references to properties, built-in features and live examples. You can filter, sort and summarise the results.
  • Unsaved content is better restored after write errors. Problems with missing page content and overwritten metadata in synchronization have been addressed.
  • Host your AppFlowy yourself, then first update AppFlowie Cloud to 0.18.10 or newer before installing this desktop version.

You can make date selections in the calendar with drag. On Linux, a problem was solved when installing the package.

  • The calendar responds better to your actions and supports dragging to select multiple date ranges.
  • The desktop release restores the reported installation problem with Linux packages.
  • The Windows package uses a renewed signature certificate. This allows SmartScreen to temporarily report that the program is not recognized.

Our verdict

AppFlowy is interesting if you want to bring together separate documents and tables. A page with explanations in addition to a structured overview can be clearer for projects than a collection of separate files. The choice between local work and online services gives you different possibilities.

Start with one real project and control mainly export, search and recovery. A nice workspace is less valuable if you get data out hard later. For collaboration, you also need to decide which cloud or self-host option you want to maintain. Choose AppFlowy when that combination connects to your usage, not just because the interface offers many different views.
