This is useful for consultation, lessons and conversations with people outside your own organization. It goes with meetings for which you want to send a separate invitation. For long sessions and additional features, check what the host's account supports.

Take a short test with your headset and choose a quiet background. Check which window you select on screen parts.

A meeting is not automatically encrypted end-to-end. That option should be deliberately set up and has conditions for how participants join. With enabled E2EE, cloud recording and certain transcription and AI functions are not available. Check recordings and sharing rights separately and tell participants when you commit.

The duration and possibilities of meetings depend on the organizer's account and subscription.

Send meeting information only to the intended participants. A publicly shared link can attract unwanted visitors. Please take into account the time limit of a free host and check in time if a recording is stored locally or online. Before sharing, also check notifications that may appear during screen parts.

Zoom is suitable if you want to hold video meetings with screen sharing and different meeting settings. Participate and host themselves are different roles with different possibilities. Therefore, check the license of the organizer. Most meetings organised by a free Basic account have a limit of forty minutes, even if some participants have a paid account.

Review the event from the organizer: required duration, guests, screen sharing and participant management must fit his account. Check your own audio output and preferably share a selected window. A paid account of a participant does not automatically change the limits of the host. For an important appointment, the concrete form of meeting is therefore more relevant than just the installed app version.
