You can pause screenshots, add a webcam image and make mouse clicks more visible.

  • The screen recorder gets pause and resume, a countdown and a webcam layer that you can adjust location, size and mirroring.
  • You can mark the cursor and use effects or sound in mouse clicks. The settings for video, audio, cursor and webcam have been reset.
  • HEIF and HEIC images are better supported. Problems in capturing window parts and renaming files have been resolved.

You get more control over monitor recordings, text boxes and the reopening of images.

PicPick 7.6.0 adds recording of a specific monitor and improves, among other things, reflection effects, text box size and maintaining font and color choices. Closed recordings can be reopened with Ctrl+Shift+T.

Our verdict

PicPick is especially useful if you almost always provide a screenshot with explanations. You do not have to open a separate editor after each recording. Arrows, text and cutouts give you enough tools to show a problem or action clearly to someone.

Just look at the license and your fixed recording forms. For example, test a scrolling window before counting on it for a long manual. For incidental capture of one image, the Windows tool may be sufficient. If you often create instructional images, the combination of recording and editing can make your method more transparent.
