This desktop update recovers connection problems and improper notifications about your account. The installer has also been modified on Windows.
- Your device is no longer considered to be unduly withdrawn when a expired access token is rejected. Endless account checks on an expired subscription have been corrected.
- On Windows, the app waits for the tunnel routes to be usable and tries the connection again. This can prevent errors immediately after setting up a DAITA or quantum-proof tunnel.
- The Windows installer scales sharper on high pixel density screens. Switches remain visible at the high contrast setting.
- Click on the system tray icon, then switch between showing and hiding the window.

Mullvad VPN is interesting if you want to use a VPN without a usual registration with email address and user password. You will receive an account number that allows you to manage access. Review the service on the network problem you want to solve. A VPN changes the route of your traffic, but does not prevent websites from recognizing you via a login, cookies or their own input.
First, decide what you want to change about your connection and which devices should remain accessible. Access to a local printer may require a different setting than just web traffic. In addition, check the websites you need. The service is less appropriate if you expect a VPN to solve all forms of tracking or recognition through your own accounts.
