A command line program is useful for repeatable tasks, but a wrong path can directly hit the wrong files. Test a command first with a small set of copies. Record the options used without saving passwords in a public script.
Check the compatibility of the output when switching to another version. Save a working recovery route and check the decryption. Automation of encryption does not remove the responsibility for key management.

Compare Cobian Locker with alternatives
First, choose what you want to secure: a complete drive, a virtual safe or separate files in cloud storage. That difference determines how to open, share and recover files. Keep your password and any key material carefully; encryption does not replace backup.

Our verdict
Locker matches repeatable encryption tasks that you can manage yourself. Capture used options and recovery steps, but don't put secret keys unprotected in scripts. Test a complete decryption before automating the task. In case of migration of version 1, the format difference deserves extra attention; only the latest executable storage is not sufficient.
