This is useful when you often create screenshots for support, documentation or webwork. It suits you if you want to set recurring actions. For occasional one screen view, the amount of options may be greater than necessary; therefore start with a limited profile.

First set local save as desired action and create a test screenshot. Check the tasks after recording before using upload functions.

The destination and tasks after recording determine whether your recording stays local or goes to an external service. Check those settings before use. An uploader may have its own accounts, retention periods and sub-links. In the case of screenshots, also note notifications, tabs and personal data outside the main window.

The enlarged institutions require attention. A screenshot may contain notifications, names and other personal data.

Do not copy blindly an uploader configuration from an unknown source. Check where files end up and which key is used in them. Check recordings before you share them. An automatically copied link does not mean that the corresponding upload has been decided.

ShareX is suitable if you want to combine screenshots and short shots with fixed follow-ups. You can capture, edit, save and possibly upload in a set order. This automation is the main added value and the most important focus. A wrong task setting can share an image faster than you have been able to check it.

The app is especially profitable when you want to perform the same follow-up actions. First set local save and add upload only if that's part of your task. Keep a separate, recognizable method for sensitive recordings. For occasional one screenshot the configuration can be more extensive than necessary; for recurring publication, this fixed route is useful.
