You can perform corrections, select photo parts and apply recurring actions to multiple images.
The working method and interface differ from well-known commercial photo packages. Take time to get to know storage, selection and output before processing many images at once. The name Fotoxx can be found in older documentation; check which generation describes an explanation.

Quick browsing, supported formats and batch actions are important for a large photomap. Compare whether the app only displays folders or builds its own catalog. When modifying metadata, please note whether data is stored in the files themselves or only in the app.

Our verdict
Photocx is interesting for Linux users who want to use more than single filters. The combination of editing and working with a collection can be useful if you regularly make similar corrections. You have to learn how to operate the program.
Start with a small folder and check where output files and metadata end up. That's more important than trying out a lot of functions right away. The transition from Photoxx to Fotocx also makes it wise to check manuals for versions. If you accept that preparation, you get a targeted Linux option; for a quick one-off cut, a simpler viewer is often enough.
