Nomacs is especially useful in the phase in which you want to assess photos. You can view and compare images without instantly starting an extensive catalogue or editing project. That low threshold is useful in a folder with many similar recordings.

To finely adjust RAW colors or a long-term photo library, you probably need additional software. That doesn't make nomacs unnecessary: a viewer can be a quick intermediate step. Use the basic operations for simple tasks and save originals. Check a few results with batchwork before you have the complete collection processed.
