Thorium builds on chromium and adds its own customization to the browser and construction settings. You will recognize the address bar, tabs and extensions of other Chrome browsers. The project creates different packages for processors and operating systems. A package for a specific instructions set is not automatically suitable for any older computer.

The current M154 download is offered by project employee gz83 and has been announced from the main project. The maker marks this release as beta, because the regular main developer has not yet released it himself. Use this information in your choice: a higher Chromium version number does not automatically create a stable production release.

Thorium is especially suitable for you if you want to work with a custom Chrome browser. The different builds give choice, but also ask that you know which processor you use. The current edition is not a carefree switch for everyone: the beta status and the temporary publication route weigh with it. Keep a stable second browser available for important logins and then compare whether Thorium adds anything before your daily use.
