NanaZip is an archive program that builds on 7-Zip. You use it to extract files, merge folders into an archive and calculate checksums. The interface and installation are customized for modern Windows.

The installed release matches the Explorer context menu. This allows you to start archive operations from the folder in which you work. Furthermore, the program offers a dark view and support for additional compression formats and hash functions. You don't have to use all these technical extras to unpack a regular ZIP.

There is also an official package with separate program files. This does not automatically have the same system integration as the installed MSIX release. Choose according to your method: for daily use from Explorer integration is pleasant, while single files are useful if you do not want to run a regular installation.

You use Windows and open or regularly create archives. You want the capabilities of a 7-Zip distracted program with an interface that better connects to modern Windows.

Getting started

Install the stable release via the official channel or use the official portable archive. After installation, check the desired file links and the Explorer context menu.

Privacy

Your archive files are processed locally. An archive is not automatically encrypted: deliberately set a suitable password and format when you want to protect the content.

Good to know

The program focuses on Windows. The single portable files miss part of the installation integration.

Don't unzip unknown archives and do not start supplied program folders automatically. The portable files do not offer all Explorer integration of the installed release.

NanaZip is a targeted choice when you want to combine the capabilities of 7-Zip with a more modern Windows control. For everyday ZIP and archive tasks, integration with Explorer is especially useful. Choose the stable release and pay attention to the distinction with Preview. The extended format range is useful, but does not automatically make a file from an unknown source safe to run.
