This allows a simple cut to be finished much faster and retains the original quality.
You mark the beginning and end of fragments you want to save. This is practical for a long screen shot or camera recording with lots of excess material. You can first select roughly and then check the output.

Why you don't always cut on every frame
Without recoding, cutting many video formats is associated with key images. As a result, the beginning or end may differ slightly from the chosen moment. Always check an export in a regular video player. If you need exact framework, transitions or image corrections, then a full video editor fits better with that task.
Compare LosslessCut with alternatives
If you only want to delete fragments or merge files, you don't always have to encode again. Without recompression, you can retain the original quality and export faster, but precise snippets can be limited by keyframes and container support. For color correction and effects you need a full editor.

Who is it for?
You can use LosslessCut to shorten registrations, save loose fragments and remove unwanted pieces. It fits with fast technical operation. If you want to add titles, color correction and transitions, then a video editor with recoding is a more appropriate choice.
Getting started
Cut a short test piece and check the beginning, end and sound in an ordinary player. Save the original until you're satisfied.
Privacy
You can process local video files without sending them to an online cutting service. When exporting, check which audio, subtitle and other tracks are retained. An unintentionally sent track may contain additional spoken information. View the complete result before sharing a fragment publicly.
Good to know
Without recoding, you can't cut every single size on any frame boundary. For effects and extensive editing, you need an editor.
Please note
Not every container and codec allows the same loss-free actions. Keyframes can determine where a useful cut is. Keep the original and check every important fragment, especially the first image and sound. Use a precise image recoding if an exact limit is required.
Advantages
- You can cut suitable files without complete recoding.
- This avoids additional compression of the retained material.
- The method is suitable for selecting and saving parts from long shots.
Things to consider
- Cut borders depend on the source format.
- The result requires control of playability and synchronization.
- For effects and extensive assembly you need other tools.

Our verdict
LosslessCut is especially useful when you want to extract pieces from a video without recoding the entire recording. This can avoid processing time and additional quality loss. The limit is at the cut limits: loss-free cutting is associated with the build-up of the video file and is not possible exactly on any desired image at every source.
Choose the app if maintaining the existing encryption is more important than editing with effects. Look at a short exported fragment and determine whether the cutting limit is accurate enough for your purpose. For a moment of speech or transition, a slight deviation can already be disturbing. Then use an editing route that supports the desired precision, even if it requires recoding.
