Choose a nearby server with a stable connection, read the map’s instructions and tell other players that you are learning. Practise one obstacle at a time and agree who moves first. A short session with a patient teammate is a more useful introduction than joining an advanced map and trying to follow experienced players immediately.

What to consider before choosing

Difficulty varies considerably between maps, so an unsuccessful first run says little about the whole game. Connection quality also matters when timing small movements. Online servers have their own communities and rules; check those before joining a group. Choose DDNet for cooperative movement challenges.
