You add a torrent or magnet link and choose where files are stored. Transmission keeps the daily operation limited, but also offers queues, limits and remote management options. The update fixes a CORS error that could leak an anti-CSRF token in remote management.

Also a memory error in communication with peers has been resolved. When using the web interface, updating is extra relevant.

Transmission suits those who want to use BitTorrent with little distraction. The sober interface is pleasant, while the optional server functions require conscious network choices.

The app is especially attractive if you want to keep download and share clear without many visible extras. Set limits and check what happens after completion with upload activity. The simple operation does not make the origin of a file more reliable. If you want to use external operation or server functions, accessibility and access management are included. Judge that setup separately rather than assume that a sober desktop interface also means a carefree server configuration.
