With SimpleLogin you can create email aliases that send messages to your existing mailbox, so that you share your main address less often.

SimpleLogin puts an extra email address between you and a website or sender. You use an alias when registering and receive the forwarded messages in your regular mailbox. If you get unwanted mail via one alias, you can disable that address without changing your main address immediately.

You can also answer via an alias. Use the SimpleLogin route for this: answers directly from your regular address can still make that address visible. Test this with your own second mailbox before using the process for important contacts.

The free service has limits; extensive possibilities such as own domains and additional management are part of paid options. Furthermore, SimpleLogin does not replace your existing mailbox. The service processes the forwarding of messages, so you trust this intermediary in addition to your mail provider. This page describes the web service, not a version number of the individual mobile apps or self-host server software.

Getting started

Create an account, confirm your receiving mailbox and make a test alias. Check receipt and answers before using an alias for an important account.

Privacy

SimpleLogin processes mail to forward it. Aliases hide your main address from the sender, but do not automatically encrypt the contents end-to-end. There is separate PGP support for forwarded mail.

SimpleLogin is useful if you want to distribute your main address less and stop spam per registration. It works best when you identify aliases and know which accounts depend on them. For sensitive communication, the security of your real mailbox remains equally important. Choose the address management and shielding service, not as a guarantee of anonymous or fully encrypted email.
