A recovery tool searches for data that is no longer accessible via the normal file list. The chance of recovery depends mainly on what happened to the storage after removal. Therefore, use the disk in question as little as possible and write found files to another drive.
Start with the files that are most important to you. A file name in a result list does not prove that the content is fully recovered; open an example if available and check the final copy. Encryption, overwrite and SSD cleanup operations can make recovery impossible.

Our verdict
MyRecover is an option for logical data loss, such as an unintentionally emptied trash bin. However, the most important step is what you do before the scan: limit further use of storage and prevent new write actions.
First check that the found files are usable before choosing a paid edition. A filename in the results does not automatically mean that the contents are intact. In case of ticking disks, connection failure or other hardware problems, scanning further may deteriorate the situation. Then we need a different recovery strategy.
