Multicat consists of command line tools for multicast and MPEG transport streams. You can record a stream, rotate files and send TS files back out.

The program stores timing information in help files where necessary. It's not a general video converter.

Multicat is useful when you want to build a fixed transport stream route or recording. Test timing and recovery of the recording with your playback chain. Keep the necessary help files with the material. Another app is more suitable for a normal screen shot or shrinking a video file.
