Mousai sends a sound fragment to the recognition service AudD and shows a found title and artist. You can find recognized songs and continue to listen services.
The recognition uses an external service with its own usage limits. Additional attempts may require an AudD account.

Music recognition works best when the fragment is sufficiently audible. Environmental noise, conversations or an abnormal live performance can make recognition more difficult. Check a found title before you take it as a definitive identification.
Choose which sound source you want to offer. An audio fragment can be processed outside your computer if it is recognized via an external service. Do not use recording with confidential conversations if you only want a music number to be recognized.

Mousai fits if you want to look up an unknown song while listening. Choose the right audio source and avoid private calls coming into the fragment. The open source app does not make the recognition service unlimited free. Check the current AudD conditions before relying on them.
