IP Lookup
You will view local IP addresses and the external address of your connection.
Developer Henry++
Version 1.8 · Open source · Windows
IP Lookup shows network addresses of your computer in a small Windows app. There is a portable method with a local configuration file.
Requesting an external address requires contact with an external service. The address shown may be your router or VPN, not one specific computer.
Get more from IP Lookup
A local IP address describes your device within a network; the external address is part of the external connection. With a router, VPN or shared network, such data may vary considerably. Therefore, write down the network set-up in research.
An IP address alone does not tell exactly who a user is or where a device is. Use the information to understand connections and check configurations. Share a full network overview only when needed for support.
Version and updates
Version 1.8 (Windows release). This release adds support for a dark theme and updates the translations. Additional protection measures for the process have been added for Windows 10 and newer. The development environment used has also been renewed.

Our verdict
IP Lookup is useful if you need an address for support or configuration. Make a distinction between local and external: they serve other purposes. At a VPN you may see the exit of that service. For DNS failures or accessibility, you need additional network tests.
