Who is it for?
You use Typora if you want to write Markdown with little visual distraction. It fits separate documents and small write projects for which you do not need a complete note service.

Download Typora for your operating system and check out the trial and license conditions. Choose a fixed document folder before using image links.
Privacy
Your documents can stay local. Automatically uploading images is a separate setting, allowing images to go to an external service. Check that before inserting confidential material.
Good to know
Typora was paid after the trial period. For certain exports additional tools are needed; check before you commit a delivery format.
Please note
Save images together with your document or use clear relative paths. If you only move the Markdown file, the linked images may be missing.

If you export from the Markdown source view, that correction is directly relevant. Test a document with the format you normally use.

Typora is a good option if you want the simplicity of Markdown without constantly seeing source formatting. During the trial period, especially review your real export and image mode.
The choice suits someone who wants to use Markdown but especially wants to see the finished result during writing. Export is an important decision point: a pleasant writing window is not enough if the recipient needs a different format. Please include a table and local image in your review. Also check that your project stays complete after moving, so the formatting does not depend on forgotten files elsewhere on your computer.
