Shutter Encoder is suitable for targeted media conversions and preparation for assembly. The width is an advantage if you know what problem to solve export.
Before conversion, make clear what problem you solve: an appropriate mounting format, another resolution or a file for a target device. The correct codec and audio settings follow from that goal. Check a short fragment with movement and speech before processing much material. For a simple cut without changing the content, recoding may be unnecessary. The wide choices are especially useful when you can choose directionally.
