OpenLauncher manages the download of current or specific project versions. You choose an appropriate package for your system and start the launcher.

The launcher does not automatically deliver all the original game dates that the games need. The requirements of OpenRCT2 and OpenLoco apply.

The launcher simplifies the selection and start of a supported game version. The release number of the launcher is separate from that of OpenRCT2 or OpenLoco. Therefore, check both when investigating an error.

Save game data and saved parks before changing channel or build. The launcher does not replace the original game files that a project may need. An experimental build can have other possibilities and problems than a stable edition.

Version 0.5.4 (Launcher; the game version is selected separately). This version adds Spanish translations and activates OpenLoco on macOS. If the launcher cannot overwrite itself, it refers to the download page so that you can run the update manually.

Getting started

Download the package from the official Releases page. Then choose the game and the desired build and select the original game dates where necessary.

Privacy

Downloads run through the project services; savegames remain in the selected game directories.

OpenLauncher is useful if you want to update regularly or switch between project versions. Choose stable builds for a game you just want to continue and save save games separately. Before a downgrade check whether your saved park or scenario is still supported. The launcher simplifies version management, not the license of original game files.
