Our verdict
KeePass is a good choice when you find control of your password file important. You are not required to place your complete safe at one specific cloud service. That gives freedom, but also makes you responsible for backups and synchronization.
Start with a simple decor and practice restoring a copy before adding all your accounts. Do not immediately add many plug-ins; every extension complicates the management. For one Windows computer, the local approach can be very clear. If you especially want automatic cooperation between many devices, KeePass requires more preparation than a fully managed password service.
